The 20-year-old prodigy has long been linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, but has repeatedly stated his commitment to his current club Santos.

It was only on Sunday that the current coach of the Brazilian national team, Mano Menezes, suggested that Neymar would be able to fulfil his potential if he moved to a club in Europe, and it seems Parreira agree’s with his compatriot.

The 1994 World Cup winning coach told Lance:

”Today, I think Neymar should play in Brazil for one more season, and then he should go to Europe. It would be a big gain in his career.”

Neymar’s contract with Santos runs until July 2014.
