The Argentina international, who was on loan at Portsmouth in 2006, picked up the injury during Inter’s 2-1 win over Santa Cruz in the Campeonato Gaúcho on Saturday.
According to Internacional’s club doctor, Paulo Rabello, the 30-year-old will also miss the Colorado’s state championship encounter with Juventude this Saturday.
Jesús Dátolo is expected to replace his compatriot, partnering Guiñazu and Tinga in midfield.
