The 27-year-old picked up the injury during a training session ahead of Flu’s Copa Libertadores encounter with Boca Juniors last week, but was still able to play 73 minutes of the tie.
However, coach Abel Braga was forced to leave out Thiago Neves in Sunday’s Fla-Flu derby, and it’s understood that he won’t be able to rely on his services for another two weeks.
The only other notable absentee for Fluminense is Edinho, who has a swollen ankle.
