Since signing from CSKA Moscow last week, the 27-year-old striker has been put through his paces in Flamengo"s Gávea training centre having not played a competitive match since the 7th of December.

"He will play on the 12th [of February] against Nova Iguaçu in Macaé, so that on the 15th, if we qualify for the group stage [of the Libertadores], he would be able to play," Luxemburgo said.

Love will be hoping his new team-mates can turn over a one-goal deficit against Bolivian side Real Potosi in the Copa Libertadores qualifier tonight, after the Rubro Negro suffered a 2-1 defeat in the first leg last week.
