“We used Florent Malouda in midfield and have Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel to return,” said the Portuguese manager to reporters on Sunday.
“We have enough numbers to cope with it. If we add Florent to the midfield options then even without Rami we have six midfield options.”
Ramires believes his absence will not be long-term and should mean only a month on the sidelines ahead of Chelsea’s crucial Premier League and Champions League run-ins.
“The internal knee ligament is stretched, but not broken,” he confirmed.
