The five-time world champions ended their 2011 campaign with two comfortable victories against Egypt and Gabon, but the year will be primarily remembered for their shock quarter-final exit in the Copa America.

”Everyone wants to see Brazil be the champions in our country. But we must be prepared. Will Brazil win? Will they have the team to win it? I’m optimistic, but also realistic. Today, Brazil has no team,” Torres told Portal da Copa.

”We must remember that in the last two World Cups we had much better squad than the current one and even then we didn’t win.”

”In Europe today there are teams at a much better stage. Like Spain and Germany for example. Few people speak about Germany, but for me it’s the team that will be big favourites.”

Brazil are currently ranked sixth in the FIFA world rankings behind Spain (1st), the Netherlands (2nd), Germany (3rd), Uruguay (4th) and England (5th).
