The Swedish striker believes that his AC Milan team-mate is not only the greatest defender he has ever played with but thinks he’s even on another level to the former world player of the year, Fabio Cannavaro.
”I think that at the moment Thiago is the most complete defender in the world. I’m lucky to play with a player like him,” Ibrahimovi told the Milan Channel.
”I’ve played with some great defenders like Thuram, Cannavaro, Pique and Puyol, but if you ask me, Thiago Silva is on another level.”
Thiago Silva was voted the best Brazilian player in Europe of 2011.
Sambafoot will be presenting the 27-year old with his Samba Gold Trophy in early February.
