The Anzhi Makhachkala forward has been strongly linked with a move back to Brazil having struggled to adapt to life in Russia.

The transfer fee as well as the details of the contract have yet to be disclosed.

"Anzhi called me yesterday saying that I could no longer negotiate a move with teams in Brazil," Tardelli explained to Radio Bandeirantes.

"They had received an offer from a team in Qatar who could pay in cash. That"s what they wanted. Teams in Brazil always tend to pay off in instalments which is something that interferes in negotiations."

The striker had been hoping for a move back to Brazil and was linked with his former club Atlético Mineiro as well as Palmeiras. He continued:

"I wanted to come back [to Brazil]. The Brazilian championship is good. My intention was to return to play for a Brazilian team but unfortunately Anzhi got in the way of my plans."
