With Kleberson, as a former-World Cup winner, boasting one of the club’s larger salaries, Flamengo hope to persuade the player that he would be best served finding alternative employment and then redeploying the money elsewhere.
“Let’s try and find something that could be interesting for both sides,” said Flamengo’s Deputy Finance Director, Michel Levy. “He is an experienced player and I’m sure we will reach a consensus.”
Kleberson spent the 2011 season on-loan at relegated Atlético Paranaense.
