Rafael Sóbis has been a huge success at Fluminense since joining on loan from UAE side, Al-Jazira in July.

Since arriving at Laranjeiras, the former Internacional forward has scored some crucial goals which helped Flu qualify for the 2012 Copa Libertadores.

Having now become a fans favourite at the club, Sóbis’ agent Jorge Machado has revealed the striker is now hoping to stay at the club on a permanent basis.

”He wants to stay at Fluminense. Even if he receives other offers, he will not leave until Fluminense say they don’t want him. It was the club that opened its doors to him after his injury and he is very grateful,” Machado told Globoesporte.

Sóbis’ loan deal at Flu runs until July 2012 and Al-Jazira reportedly want €6 million for the 26-year old.
