The loan deal will give the Portuguese side until June 2012 to make a €3 million bid to take control of the player’s rights, with Xandão now outside of São Paulo’s first-team plans.

São Paulo are still looking to bring in another defensive reinforcement to partner Rhodolfo in the middle, but with Édson Silva and Paulo Miranda already having arrived at the Morumbi, the likes of Bruno Uvini and Xandão have been told they are free to seek new employment.
