Arthur Antunes Coimbra, or more famously known as Zico, is considered to be one of the greatest players to of ever played the beautiful game. Despite never winning a World Cup, the former midfielder is seen as a hero in his home land Brazil and is often called the ‘White Pelé.’

Around the world, Zico is more remembered as being the central figure in the legendary 1982 Brazilian team which included the likes of Sócrates, Falcão, Cerezo and Junior.

Zico spent much of his career playing for his boyhood club Flamengo, but also ventured to Europe for two years, where he played for Italian side Udinese from 1983-1985.

More recently, Zico has gone down the path of coaching, where he’s has taken charge of the Japanese national team, CSKA Moscow, Olympiacos and today, he’s the head coach of the Iraqi national football team.

When Sambafoot caught up with the legendary ex-footballer, Zico had no doubts about who he thinks should be crowned as the best Brazilian in Europe this year.
