The Tricolor Paulista offered Cruzeiro €10 million plus three players on loan, with the exception of Rogério Ceni, Lucas Moura and Luis Fabiano.
Casemiro was the one name the Mineiro club were considering, but the player’s agent, Julio Fressato, insists at no time was the deal ever on the cards.
”This did not happen and won’t happen. It would be a lack of respect from São Paulo with a player that was formed by the club who has a great future. Casemiro will not be a bargaining chip for any player,” Fressato told Lancenet!
Casemiro has also been linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window, but so far São Paulo have yet to receive an offer from the Gunners.
