With the January transfer window just days away, Corinthians’ new President, Roberto Andrade (who will take charge of the club in January), has revealed the Serie A champions will try again for Carlos Tevez.

”He is a great player. At the start of the year we will start up talks again, but it will be a difficult negotiation,” Andrade told Estadão.

”His value is extremely high, but Corinthians will work hard on this.”

The Timão did agree a £40 million fee with City in July for Tevez, but could not force the deal through before the Brazilian transfer window deadline.

AC Milan are currently reported as favourites to sign the Argentine, although the Rossoneri have yet to submit a formal offer.
