Thiago Alcântara is hoping that Pep Guardiola will include him in his starting eleven on Sunday, as the European champions, Barcelona, get ready to face the South American champions, Santos, in the Club World Cup final.

Speaking ahead of the game, the twenty year old midfielder revealed he loves watching Santos play.

”As a lover of football, people love to see Santos play. They have great players like Neymar, Ganso and many others who make up this great team. It was by no coincidence that they won the Libertadores too,” explained the Spanish international.

The son of former Brazilian international, Mazinho, also acknowledged the fact that he feels South American football fans tend to put more emphasis on intercontinental competition than European fans do.

”Not only just Brazilian people, but all South American fans add value to the club world cup than any other place in the world. However, we have to work hard to win this tournament and we will fight to win this final,” he said.
