Fabricio’s contract renewal with Cruzeiro is every day looking more and more unlikely.

In an interview with TV Alterosa, the holding midfielder revealed he will now listen to offers from other clubs with Sao Paulo reportedly already in talks with the player.

”Every day that passes it’s harder (to stay at Cruzeiro), but I hope everything goes well,” He added, ”The time has come for me to listen to offers, I am not stupid. I like being here. I don’t need to say how much I like the team, because I show that on the pitch.”

For Fabricio, the Cruzeiro boards delay in contacting him to offer him a new contract was the key factor as to why he’ll start negotiating a deal elsewhere.

”In my opinion the board delayed the renewal. They could of come to me one year or six months before and asked me,” he said.

In a farwell tone, the player revealed a feeling of accomplishment in his time at Cruzeiro.

”Maybe there will be more years at Cruzeiro, but if not, I played my part. To talk about leaving is a bad thing. I don’t like goodbyes,” concluded Fabrico.
