A meeting between the board and president Patricia Amorim will define the details of the proposal for the purchase of Thiago Neves to Al-Hilal.
Michel Levy, the club’s Deputy of Finance, believes that a deal is close and that guaranteeing a Libertadores place is unimportant to the player’s arrival.
“There is nothing definite,” he said. “We need to have a meeting with Patricia Amorim to define it.
“Being in the Libertadores is not a key factor to close with Thiago. Competition from other clubs is also something we do not need to worry about. We have priority.”
