Neymar scored the Selecao’s second goal 15 minutes from time and many pundits believe Brazil are beginning to get back to their best.

Despite their opponents being considerably under-strength due to it being a domestic side and with Internacional midfielder Andres D’Alessandro missing out due to injury, Neymar believes Brazil can look forward with optimism.

Neymar told reporters after the game: “The joy of trying to get a goal and then finally getting it is great.  There is always a different feeling to winning against Argentina and to win this title.

“The team worked well together and I thought it was a good performance. I think it shows we are beginning to get back to our best, we are enjoying it.”

Neymar also took time out to praise Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura who crossed in for Neymar to score his goal.

Neymar added: “Lucas is a star and I’m also very happy for him. He scored the first goal which was great and he fully deserves a lot of credit.”

Lucas Moura has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool and he performance in Belem last night will only add to speculation.
