Cristiano Ronaldo fired Real into the lead on 24 minutes, and four minutes later Marcelo doubled their advantage. Goals from Xabi Alonso and Ronaldo made it 4-0 by the time Kaka appeared from the bench, replacing Mesut Ozil.
Kaka had only been on the field four minutes when he added Real’s fifth goal on 82′, assisted by Marcelo, and three minutes before full time he set up Ronaldo for the Portuguese forward to complete his hat-trick.
It rounded off a fine start to the league campaign for last season’s runners-up, as they bid to win the competition for the first time since 2007-08.
