The striker recently joined the Brazilian side from Manchester City, and now Inter physio Elio Carraveta believes he is ready to represent his new team for the first time, despite only just returning from his holidays.

“Jo has trained this week, and is in very good condition for someone who has been on vacation,” said Carraveta. “On Friday afternoon, he will take part in the final training session before the match on Sunday. If he feels good, he will be okay to play.”

24-year-old Jo will hope to help Inter to three points in his first game in Brazil since leaving Corinthians 2005. Victory against Goianiense could see Inter climb as high as fifth, although many teams around them are on a similar number of points.
