Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated Edu may be frozen out of the side should he fail to commit himself to the Highbury club.
The Brazilian midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and could sign a pre-contract with rival clubs from January 2.
FC Barcelona seem the most interested party at the moment. Which would give Edu the chance to join up with his fellow country men currently in Catalunya.
