Conthians vs Sao Paulo

 

It was probably the game of the week end. Sao Paulo lost their invisibility to Corinthians who smashed the leader of the table 5-0. Liedson scored a hat trick and was one of the best players on the field, alongside Danilo who also scored a goal. It is true though that Sao Paulo played the second half with one man down as Carlinhos Paraiba was sent off five minutes before half time. Jorge Henrique scored the last goal for Corinthians, who comes back in the second position of the table.

 

Internacional vs Figueirense

 

The gauchos were playing at home and played a good football to win over Figueirense. Internacional scored two goals in the first half, by D’Alessandro and Oscar. And after half time they scored two more goal s, by Leandro Damiao and Ricardo Goulant. A few minutes before the end of the game Wellington scored for Figueirense. Final score: 4-1.

 

Botafogo vs Gremio

 

Botafogo won 2-1 over Gremio and take the fourth position of the table. The gauchos are 12ves of the Brasileirao. Elkson and Marcelo Mattos scored for Botafogo before Renan reduced the difference. Final score: 2-1.

 

Ceara vs Palmeiras

 

Ceara won their first game in the Brasileirao 2011. They beat Palmeiras 2-0, putting an end to the invicibility of Felipao’s team. Washington and Thiago Umberto scored the two goals.

 

Atletico GO vs Vasco

 

Felipe scored in the first minute of the game for Vasco. It was enough to secure a win. Vasco won 1-0 thanks to their goalkeeper Fernando Pass who saved the team in more than one occasion.

 

Avai vs Fluminense

 

Fluminense played more than half of the game with one man down but thanks to the quality of their midfield, they managed to hold on to a 1-0 victory. The goal was scored by the Argentinean Conca. Rafael Moura was sent off on a foul on Gustavo Bastos, the replay showed that Bastos was acting.
