It is ironic to see that so many renowned players are coming back to Brazil at a time where the world of football is looking at the country where the beautiful game is king. And on the other side young Gabriel is taking the opposite direction, betting on an international carreer.

Is he doing the right thing? Will he succeed in Europe, having played so little at a professional level? And if he doesn’t succeed there, he will still be unknow in his own country where he hasn’t yet made a name for himself in a big team of the Brasileirao.

Right or wrong Gabriel is going to Italy where he will only be able to play in September after he turns 18. The future will tell him if he made the right choice but in the mean time it is a sadness that the Brazilian championship will be deprived of one more of its prometing young players.
