The midfielder has been one of Liverpool’s best performers this season and has continued his good form under Dalglish.
Tribal Football quoted Lucas as saying recently: “I am having a very good moment in my career and Dalglish also has his share of this. We do not know if he will continue in command at the end of the championship, but we hope it does happen.
“If things continue as they are, we’re sure to get good results at Liverpool next season. If we were playing football like this from the start we would be fighting for the title,” concluded Lucas.
These comments came a day before Dalglish signed a three year contract as Liverpool manager, and Lucas among others is sure to be delighted at the appointment, with the club moving from the bottom half to a European place since Dalglish’s arrival.
