Colorado took the lead with Galhardo’s goal in the 20th minute but the lead barely lasted at all. Tricolor leveled the scoring just five minutes after with Luciano. 

 The goals both came in the first half.

In the second half, with the expulsion of Zé Gabriel, the game became São Paulo’s attack against Inter’s defense. But the hosts managed to hold on, while the visiting team lacked the competence to put their numerical advantage to anything useful. 

Both sides started intensely and the first chance of the game came from Inter in the 2nd minute but was saved by volpi. Inter will get the first goal of the game in the 20th minute after a cross from Moisés found Galhardo’s head and went right in. however, the lead did not last long. Five minutes after a free kick from Reinaldo, Pablo deflected, and Luciano drew level from a deflection. 

 Zé Gabriel got a red card in the second half and it gave São Paulo more control of the ball but Inter were able to hang on for a draw. 

With the result, Inter and São Paulo continue in second and third place respectively. Colorado has 21 points while Tricolor has 19 points. 

For their next outing, both teams have a midweek commitment to LibertadoresInter play on Tuesday against America da Cali in Colombia. And São Paulo will go to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to face River Plate on WednesdayFor Brasilerão, Colorado returns to the field on Saturday for another classic against GrêmioTricolor plays the next day, against Coritiba at the Couto Pereira stadium in Curitiba.
