Giovana Queiroz is the big winner of the Samba Gold Women’s Trophy 2021

The striker is the first player to win the new award modality

Giovana Queiroz, a striker, won the Samba Gold Feminino 2021 after defeating 29 opponents. The medal, which honors the best Brazilian player working abroad, was given to the women’s category for the first time. Sambafoot’s award, which has been granted since 2008 and previously only addressed men’s football, has established itself as a benchmark for athletes born in the football-playing country.

Gio Queiroz started her professional career at Madrid CFF in Spain in 2018. She has since represented Barcelona and Levante in Spain, the latter of which she has been a member of since the end of the first half of last year. She’s also been called up many times to the Brazilian national team. The goalscorer was born in the city of Sao Paulo in the year 2003.

In 2021, the top scorer scored eight goals in 23 appearances for Levante and the Brazilian national team. She was a member of the Barcelona squad until the middle of the year, and she saw the team win the Spanish Championship and the UEFA Champions League during that period. Gio also played for Brazil at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where he scored her first goal in a green and yellow shirt. The spectacular moment occurred during the team’s 6-1 triumph over India in a match that was part of the Manaus International Tournament, which the team won in December.

Her achievements in football were recognized by 31.12% of votes cast by fans and journalists from all around the world, making her the first woman to receive the Samba Gold Women’s award.

The year 2021 brought another first for the Samba Gold award, in addition to the establishment of the women’s modality. The vote for the best Brazilian to work in any foreign country, not only Europe, began on December 15. Neymar is the world’s most prominent man right now.

The second and third place

Ludmilla, an Atletico Madrid striker, received 13.58 percent of the voting in the 2021 Samba Gold Women’s trophy. The attacker has made an impression since joining the Spanish club in 2017. After being born in Guarulhos, Sao Paulo, she began her career with Juventus-SP in 2011. She competed in the 2019 World Cup after being picked for the Olympic Games last year.

Gabi Nunes, who is only 24, was an outstanding player for Corinthians from 2016 to 2021. After winning the Brasileirão for Timão last year, she grabbed the interest of Madrid CFF, and she traveled to Spain in September. Gabi, like Giovana, scored her first goal in the Manaus International Tournament last year. She made an impression in the 4-1 victory over Venezuela with 8.81 percent of the vote in the Samba Gold Feminino 2021.
