Brazil’s 4-0 victory against Panama was more than celebrated. Ary Borges had herself a game with a hat-trick and one assist. She got subbed off the field so that Marta could enter, which made the stadium erupt.

The Queen said that she liked how Brazil played and made compliments on Borges’ match.

“The entire game showed that. After we scored the fourth goal, we went for it, we kept trying to do more. The girls who entered were in the mood to score one more goal, that’s normal. What we create today is the result of the collective work we’ve been doing for a long time. We hope it continues like this for the entire Cup, for who knows, maybe we’ll win the title in the end,” she analyzed.

“I’m very happy for her. Scoring three goals in a debut is not easy, she was blessed. She even gave an assist, so it’s almost four goals (laughs). I was honored to step into her shoes, I was even more relaxed. I joined when the game was quieter for Brazil,” she complemented.

Brazil plays next Saturday (29) against France at 7am (Brasília time). This is probably the hardest game for the national team in the group phase, which is led by it with three points. France and Jamaica have one point.
