Missing suspended striker Paolo Guerrero, Flamengo may be forced to hand a debut to new signing Kayke when they host Atlético Paranaense this evening in the 18th round of the Brazilian championship.
Kayke played his entire youth career at the Flamengo, but only managed a handful of games for the first team before moving away, playing for several sides in Europe before returning to Brazil with Natal ABC, from where Flamengo rebought him.
He said: “I admire Guerrero. He is one of the best strikers in Brazil. It is a pleasure to play alongside him. I hope to win my place.”
