Milan are considering a move for Vasco da Gama teenager Matheus Pet, according to reports.

Website Tuttomercatoweb, as cited by Forza Football Italia, claims that the Rossoneri may bid for Pet in the January transfer window, after vice-president and C.E.O. Adriano Galliani made contact with his entourage.

Pet, who operates as a midfielder, has reportedly caught the eye of European and South American based scouts with his performances over recent months and has seemingly impressed Milan sufficently to force them to firm up their interest.

If Galliani was to make a successful move, then the 16 year-old would initially be placed in the Primavera to acclimatise to European football, before eventually being promoted to the first-team.

With Vasco earning a return to the Brasileirão at the first attempt however, Pet may prefer to continue developing under new Head Coach Doriva, who has been brought in for the 2015 campaign.
