Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique believes the connection between Neymar and Lionel Messi will only continue after the duo scored in to defeat Rayo Vallecano.
Messi scored in the 35th minute and just 78 seconds later Neymar fired into the net to seal another win for the Catalan club.
Enrique was pleased with the way his team played and how they created the goals for the South American duo.
Football Espana quoted the Barca head coach on the goals of Messi and Neymar, he said: “We knew the courage of Rayo and it gets you into a certain disposition.
“We were able to make the final pass and the victory makes us stronger. It’s statistics at the end of the season I’m most interested in.”
Enrique went on to praise the blossoming partnership developing between Neymar and Messi and believes it will be frequent throughout the season.
He added: “Neymar and Messi’s connection will appear again and again, continuously. That’s to our advantage.
“The more connections our players have, the better.”
