Willian looking forward to Chile after ‘good job’ Brazil achieved in group stages
Willian believes Brazil did a good job in the group stages and is looking forward to seeing them overcome Chile in the round of 16 clash on Saturday.
The host nation topped Group A with seven points from their three matches but only delivered a performance of real quality in their final fixture against Cameroon, a 4-1 victory.
Prior to that Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team had drawn 0-0 with Mexico after stuttering past Croatia 3-1 in the opening match of the World Cup.
The Chelsea ace appreciates that the opening of the tournament is always tough but is confident ahead of Saturday's clash.
Goal.com quoted Willian after he spoke to The Times of India, he said: "The beginning of the World Cup is always a bit tough.
“Our combinations needed to settle in and of course we needed to please our fans. I think we have done a good job in the group stage.
"In a World Cup we have to see all matches as being tough and we look forward to overcoming Chile next."
