The Catalan club is unwilling to trade their right-back in order to secure Marquinhos’ services this summer, according to GloboEsporte.com.
However, it is believed that Barcelona would consider including Cesc Fàbregas, Pedro or Alexi Sanchez in their bid to buy the young Brazilian centre-half.
Following David Luiz’ move from Chelsea to PSG, and with Thiago Silva and Alex already at the French champions, there is little chance of Marquinhos making his mark at centre-back there next season.
On Wednesday, Marquinhos will meet with his agent in Brazil to discuss his options.
