Sao Paulo defender Rodrigo Caio already has one eye on the future after Rogerio Ceni announced an end to his goalscoring keeping at the end of the upcoming Brazilian domestic season- and insists that the club have leaders throughout the squad that can assume the mantle after Ceni eventually goes.

The 16-times capped goalkeeper will no longer be on the roster from 2015 but Caio, at 20 years old 21 years younger than one of his heroes, told Lance: “We have many experienced players, I belive in the squad we have various leaders.”

“Today we have Luis Fabiano (the leading scorer in the 2014 Paulista state championship), Antonio Carlos; the important thing is to have several people directing several leaders.”

“When Rogerio leaves, they will emerge more and we will not miss that leadership.”
