Brazil appear to have dismissed the chances of England to succeed at this summer’s World Cup after it was revealed that public information boards have negative connotations.

TV screens on trains throughout the country are emlazoned with the term: “England are a good team but lack organisation and good team morale”. Perhaps a little harsh, England’s tournament disappointments are thought to be largely down to a lack of ability rather than attitude.

Lance football specialist Igor Siquera, however, disagrees with the videos: “One thing the English team are well known for its tactical organisation, especially so under Hodgson regarding the formation, the way he sets up two lines in a 4-4-2.”

“And a lack of spirit? The impression has always been that the players- although rivals for their clubs- seem to be totally united when they play for England.”
