Atletico Paranaense welcome back striker Marcelo after injury
Atletico Paranaense are set to welcome back striker Marcelo for their next game in the Copa Libertadores against Argentine outfit Velez Sarsfield, having not been able to use the Brazilian since February due to injuries.
22 year-old Marcelo sprained his right ankle and then took a blow to his left thigh but has been on the mend and is expected to be named in Atletico's squad for the crucial tie.
He told the club's official website: "I am very happy to be back. Certainly, nobody wants to be left out. especially in a major championship like the Libertadores. But I'm fine now, recovered."
Marcelo will compete with Adriano, Ederson and Bruno Mendes for a place up front against Velez, with both teams currently leading the group on nine points from four gaes.
