Inter Milan midfielder Hernanes has lamented their weekend loss to Atalanta and called on his teammates to pick themselves up for the rest of the campaign or else risk losing out on European competition for next season.

“Against Atalanta it went badly, but we’ll hold our heads up because nothing has changed,” Hernanes told Inter Channel, “In football there are days like these, when you walk off the pitch disappointed after having created so much and having played so well.”

“Our thoughts are already on Tuesday and against Udinese. I’m pleased we have a game so soon and we want to do our best.”

Inter are fifth in the Serie A table and are currently occupying a Europa League position for next season, having missed out entirely on European competition in 2013/14.
