England midfielder Frank Lampard believes Chelsea’s Brazilian contingent are desperate to claim bragging rights in Sunday’s friendly.

Lampard netted the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over the Seleção at Wembley in February, much to the disappointment of Blues team-mates David Luiz, Ramires and Oscar.

However, the 34-year-old believes Sunday is going to be difficult as Luiz and Oscar will be doing all they can to prevent England completing the double.

Lampard told the club’s official website: “I know the Brazilian boys at Chelsea and they weren’t happy coming here to Wembley and losing. They will certainly want to beat us.

“It’s been good with England this season. I’d definitely take another winner against Brazil, but I won’t get carried away because it’s going to be a very, very tough game.

“If we can go there and get a good result it will be a fantastic thing for the lads and their confidence to take into the qualifiers.”

Lampard scored his 29th international goal on Wednesday night as England drew 1-1 with the Republic of Ireland.

The Chelsea veteran could add another cap to his tally of 96 if the game at the Maracanã goes ahead, after a court suspended the fixture on Thursday due to safety concerns.
