Chelsea star Oscar has warned that Brazil are out for revenge as they prepare to face England for a second time this year on Sunday.

The 21-year-old midfielder was part of Luiz Felipe Scolari’s squad when they suffered a 2-1 defeat at Wembley in February.

The result marked Scolari’s first game back in charge of Brazil and Oscar believes the manager and team will be doing all they can to rectify the defeat this weekend.

He told the Daily Mirror: “The defeat at Wembley was hard and now we have to look for the moment to beat England.

“Scolari is preparing this match with every detail. He has made it nearly an official match for us. Brazil needs to improve the image and England is a special test.

“Our fans deserve to see the best from Brazil before the Confederations Cup. I have much spoken with my team mates before the game on Sunday and I am convinced we can win.”

However, having experienced life in the English top flight, Oscar concedes that the game against Roy Hodgson’s men will be difficult.

“The danger of England is their team spirit and togetherness,” he added. “I know the Premier League and the level is enormous. Any player wants to show their best for the national team.

“England is one of the best teams in the world and that will motivate us as we need to show an excellent performance to get the victory.

“Brazil has a lot to play for in this game and really it’s not a friendly for us.”
