The Daily Star reports that Chelsea are on the market for a new leftback with Ashley Cole likely to leave the club for PSG at the end of the season.

The tabloid also reports that Real have offered Marcelo to Chelsea for a fee of £25m as they already have Fabio Coentrao and hope to land Bale from Tottenham.

The Spanish press claim that Real are set to move for the Welshman as early as January and Marcelo could be offloaded then.

The rumours persist after Bale told reporters recently that he would seriously consider any possible moves to La Liga.

Marcelo is one of our 30 nominees for Sambafoot’s 2012 Samba Gold Trophy which recognises the best performing Brazilian in Europe this season.
