Internacional have not received an offer for Leandro Damião says the clubs vice president Luciano Davi, despite reports to the contrary.

Damião, 23, has been in goal-scoring form with the Brazil Olympic side at the London games, with the director admitting that he fears that a bid will arrive with each goal scored.

The Rio Grande do Sul side, though, insist that they will not sell Leandro Damião unless a massive offer is received.

“With each goal that he scores, there is a bit of horror. If a proposal comes, Inter will look at it,” Luciano Davi told Radio Gaucha.

The vice-president’s sentiments were echoed by the club’s manager, who was quick to point out differences with the case of Oscar who joined Chelsea earlier in the summer.

“There will be offers, I have no doubt,” said coach Fernandão. “In the last four windows there have been offers and the board have worked to keep Damião.

“Oscar only left as his release clause was met, we could do nothing about it.”
