The 21-year-old forward had barely been on the pitch for two minutes when he ran onto Emerson’s pass and chipped the ball over Orion to level the contest at La Bombonera.

Boca were the more adventurous of the two sides throughout the game and deservedly took the lead in the 73rd minute through Facundo Roncaglia, who tapped in from close range after Santiago Silva’s header rebounded into his path following Pablo Mouche’s corner.

Corinthians, who are vying for their first ever Copa Libertadores title, will play hosts to Boca Juniors in the return leg next Wednesday.
