Kléber had a furious bust-up with Palmeiras manager Luis Felipe Scolari on Tuesday, as the player expressed his dismay at the lack of support offered by the club after an attack on fellow player João Vitor.

It is reported that Scolari has told the player and board that he does not want the player at the club any longer and that Kléber is now available for a transfer.

With Flamengo and Vasco both known to be looking for top striking options for next season, it is little surprise that they have been Kléber’s first point of call. But, it will be a big loss for Palmeiras over an incident which has left the whole squad dismayed.

Scolari has lamented the players’ lack of focus, having refused to travel to their game in Rio until Wednesday in support of their colleague.

In an interview after the game with Flamengo last night, goalkeeper Deola was adament in his belief the players’ united show of force was the correct move at the time, with their team-mate in hospital.
