Thiago Silva’s wide Isabelle made headlines this week for a cryptic social media post in which she appeared to question Mauricio Pochettino. Shortly after Chelsea’s 4-2 loss to Wolverhampton at Stamford Bridge, she wrote: “It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late.”

While some thought she was putting her husband’s future at the club in doubt, the post was immediately related to the coach, who is on the hot seat as the Blues are struggling this season. On Wednesday, Belle Silva took to X (formerly Twitter) again to apologize for the noise her post has made: “I’m sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact. I’m passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I’m saddened by defeats. We all want the same thing, a winning team, come on Chelsea!!.”

Silva talked to Pochettino

Fans have shown nothing but support for Belle Silva’s comments, as they’re not happy at all with the way things are going this term either. However, Pochettino told the press Tuesday he’s confident about turning things around. He also revealed Thiago Silva approached him before practice, though he didn’t reveal what they’ve talked about: “He came today to talk with me. I am not going to talk in the way we were talking. The important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me.”

“He knows me after more than 10 years, who I am, we are a very strong coaching staff and the way we operate. Of course he came to talk. We talked. It was private. And that’s it,” he added.

Silva, 39, is entering the final months of his contract with Chelsea. His future remains unclear, though Pochettino said it’s up to the Brazilian to stay at the club. Chelsea are currently 11th in the Premier League standings with 31 points, 15 shy of the top four as they lost their last two games.
