Legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos (37) is said to be under close surveillance by Flamengo, one of Brazil’s most prestigious clubs. According to information reported by Argentinian journalist Fernando Czyz, from the Doble Amarilla site and D Sports Rádio, the Brazilian club is in advanced discussions with the player and plans to make him an official offer.

Fernando Czyz has revealed that Flamengo have already had three talks with Sergio Ramos, and in their last communication the club reportedly announced their intention to submit a formal proposal to add the defender to their squad for the Copa Libertadores and the end of the Brazilian championship, the Brasileirão.

A Ramos-David Luiz pair?

Free of any contract since leaving PSG, Sergio Ramos could thus join Flamengo and form a solid defensive hinge alongside another former Parisian, David Luiz. This association promises to be formidable for the opponents of the Brazilian club.

The international fame of Sergio Ramos is no longer to be presented. With the Spanish NATIONAL TEAM, he won two European Championships in 2008 and 2012, as well as the World Cup in 2010, not to mention Real Madrid with whom the Spaniard simply won everything, including four Champions League. His experience, leadership and mastery of the game make him a valuable asset to any team.

Flamengo’s ambitious project, combined with its growing popularity on the international scene, could be a strong argument to convince the player to join the Brazilian club. His arrival would be a real masterstroke for the club.
