Although it is unlikely that Cristiano Ronaldo will decide to continue his career at Grêmio, the Portuguese already has the team’s shirt with his name and number. His sister, Katia Aveiro, went to see the team she supports and received gifts for the whole family.

The institution’s president, Alberto Guerra, was in charge of delivering the gifts to Katia, who was present at the Arena do Grêmio with her husband Alexandre Bertolucci Júnior, a businessman from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, whose capital is Porto Alegre, and a fervent supporter of Tricolor Gaúcho.

Katia received a shirt with her name and another one with her mother Dolores’s name. “For mom! Of course, when she comes to Brazil, mom says, ‘I support Grêmio,'” she said in a video posted on the club’s official accounts. Dolores recently revealed on social media that she supports the team, thanks to the clear influence of her son-in-law.

She also received the jersey with the number 7 and Cristiano Ronaldo’s name. This led to some memes on social media, simulating the announcement of the former Real Madrid and Manchester United goal scorer’s arrival at the Brazilian team. Grêmio made it to the final of the Campeonato Gaúcho.

In football terms, Grêmio defeated SER Caixas do Sul 3-2 and will face Juventude in the Campeonato Gaúcho final. The first leg will be on April 30th and the second leg on April 6th, four days after their debut in the Copa Libertadores against The Strongest from Bolivia.

Diego Costa, who had a great start at his new club, scored two goals, while Argentine Franco Cristaldo scored the other.
