The match between Al-Nassr and Al-Duhail, corresponding to the third day of Group E of the Asian Champions League, met (or exceeded) all expectations. Boosted by a decisive Cristiano Ronaldo (the Portuguese scored a double), the Saudi team won 4-3 in a very entertaining match.

In the match, in addition to seven goals, there was a Brazilian presence. Anderson Talisca scored for the local team, while Philippe Coutinho started for the visitors.

Al-Nassr took the lead after 25 minutes through their Brazilian figure, who took advantage of an assist from Ronaldo. But the most engaging part of the night came in the second half.

After Sadio Mané put the host ahead by two goals, the Portuguese figure scored a great goal from outside the area, with his left foot. Coutinho and company reacted with two quick goals, but once again, Cristiano found the net with a left-footed shot. At the end, Al-Duhail reduced the difference to one goal, but the advantage of the Saudi team prevailed to take the three points.

Talisca’s great present

At 29 years old, Anderson Talisca enjoys a great present in Saudi Arabia. The player trained in Bahia has 12 goals in 10 games this season in all competitions. He has the same number of goals as Ronaldo in the Asian Champions League (3), while he has six goals in the Saudi Professional League.

A member of the Riyadh club since 2021, the Brazilian has scored 21 times in 27 games last year. He also recorded that figure in his first season at Al-Nassr in 2021/22, although in that campaign he did it in 30 games. His performances until now have gone unnoticed by the Seleção, but if he continues like this, he may be able to attract the attention of Fernando Diniz.
