At 39 years old, Thiago Silva is reaching the end of his contract with Chelsea. After seven seasons in England, marked by numerous collective and individual successes, the central defender will have to make a decisive choice for the next step in his career.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Silva began his professional career wearing the tricolor colors of Fluminense in 2006. He spent two and a half formative seasons there, establishing himself as one of the great hopes of the Brazilian defense.

It was there that his warrior spirit was born, always ready to fight for his team. Since his departure to Europe, the center-back has never forgotten his roots in Rio de Janeiro. During each international break, he savors with delight his return to the Marvelous City.

After a career rich in trophies at the highest level, Thiago Silva may wish to complete the circle by reuniting with his first love. The leaders of Fluminense have understood this well, dreaming of bringing back their prodigal son. Even though he remains successful at Chelsea, the Brazilian is approaching the end.

To finish in style and pass on his passion to the younger generation, what could be better than lacing up his boots where it all began? This is certainly the wish of his fans in Rio, eager to see him once again wearing the tricolor jersey.
