In his fourth season at Al Ain, Erik celebrates renewal: “I feel like I’m evolving a lot”

Revealed by Internacional, left-back Erik left Brazilian football early, is in his fourth season with Al Ain and has increasingly stood out in the United Arab Emirates. Elected Golden Boy for the last two years, the Brazilian is one of the main names on the team, which is ready to fight for titles again.

After experiencing his best individual season in 22/23, with 12 goal appearances, including five goals and seven assists, Erik renewed his contract with the club until 2028. The Brazilian made a point of celebrating this moment and, in a self-evaluation, believes which is growing a lot in the United Arab Emirates.

“The renewal is the result of the dedication and work I have done with the Al Ain shirt. I just have to thank God for this moment. Since I arrived, I have been welcomed, I feel at home, very well adapted and I feel like I am evolving a lot here. I’m going through a very positive moment and I hope to continue contributing to the team on the field, especially by winning titles,” he stated.

With seven wins in seven games played at the start of the 23/24 season, the Brazilian highlights Al Ain’s good performance in the three competitions they have played in so far (ADNOC Pro League, ADIB Cup and AFC Champions League) and states that the objective of team is to compete for all the titles. In 22/23, they reached three finals and were second in the league.

“Thank God, our start to the season has been incredible, but it doesn’t surprise us, because we know our quality and only we know how hard we work day to day to achieve great results, in the three competitions we’ve played so far. We are satisfied with this start, but we have to maintain our momentum because our objective is to fight for all the titles possible,” he projected.
