How is the former player’s health?

  • According to an official statement released by Independiente, the results of the tests performed were positive.
  • However, Tévez remains hospitalized as a precaution on Wednesday for further scheduled tests.
  • Tévez, who suffers from high blood pressure, recently faced moments of stress at the Argentine club. He experienced changes in his coaching staff with the departure of Germán Zylberberg, who ceased to be his assistant by mutual decision, and Hugo Tocalli, who resigned from the position of youth coordinator but later reversed his decision.

As a coach

The former player took over as the coach of Independiente in August 2023 and managed to avoid the team’s relegation in that season.

Currently, Independiente occupies the sixth position in the Argentine League, with 23 points earned in 14 games played.
