“We really deserved to confirm our stay in the Premier League. We worked hard and did everything to win the match in front of our fans, who were the 12th player throughout the campaign, especially in this final stretch. Now it’s time to breathe a sigh of relief and start thinking about making a next season with bigger goals in all competitions,” he said.
Since 2016 in Europe, after winning the Brasileirão in 2015 with Corinthians, Felipe has been national champion wherever he went: he lifted the 2017/18 Portuguese League trophy for FC Porto and the 2020/21 La Liga trophy for Atlético de Madrid In January, he signed with Nottingham Forest and had his first experience in the Premier League from the second half of the tournament.
“The Premier League is, without a doubt, the most difficult league I have ever played in my life. But I’m really enjoying it, I adapted quickly. Premier has a style that I like, with a lot of speed, power, contact… It’s a very dynamic football, where the best teams in the world are. It is a great challenge, but we managed to play good games, we faced powerful teams in some duels, so we will certainly continue to evolve in search of great results up front”, reinforced the defender, who turned 34 on the last May 16th.
